THE CYCLE (2024)
Live durational performance

Description
The Cycle is a two-hour durational Butoh performance exploring the complex, cyclical nature of female reproductive function through the symbolic imagery of ovulation and the egg. Drawing on the poetic and sculptural physicality of Butoh, the work embodies the visceral tension between biology and lived bodily experience, revealing reproduction as both material process and metaphoric terrain.
Through repetition, endurance, and slow transformation, the body becomes a site where biological rhythm and physical presence intersect—unfolding the reproductive journey as an ongoing state of becoming rather than a fixed function.
